I was watching Edward Scissorhands last night and came up with the formula for cool once again. Quite + Eye contact - Facial Expressions = Cool. Yeap that works for me. I remember when I was little and so not cool that I would really have a problem staying quiet. I always wanted to run around and smack shit. But the point is that I always felt uncomfortable when I would smack shit and pine for the attention and just got this reverb of nothing throughout my audience or classroom...like crickets chirping...maybe it was because they could see that I wasn't cool and didn't adhere to that formula at all...I see the same thing in some of these crazy kids that I teach...I see me and I see them being me and I soooo weep for them...like, "oh no dude seriously no one cares if you are sad and crazy at the same time. They don't want to be around sad crazy kids. No one likes that...you poor little guy...at least you don't have a weird head..."
