Lapse - and an update
Talked to a friend today who said "I read your Blog - I like how you talk to your daugher." First off... I had no idea anyone ever read this nonsense - and 2 - FUCK! People read this nonsense. And to be honest... it's not nonsense - there's a timeline.
1. Did it back in 2002 or so because my friends Tim and Doug said blogging would be cool - and I wanted people to reaffirm that I was awesome.
2. 2005 - I launched JVMM and people at bars thought it was cool -
3. Did it so girls thought I was cool
4. 2012 or so - stopped doing it - until I had my daughter - and I realized - it might be cool and she and her future siblings my appreciate her dad's thoughts. But who knows when she'll find this and what she'll think... I dont know... she can search for stuff now (2019) so... I dont know
So here - we are and I haven't written anything since March -
Wells is loving baseball now. We had his first season of tee ball and he is obsessed with watching the O's every night and doing it with me. It bring me very much joy to have this with him. He did great at tee ball - and has a wonderful attitude to working hard and training. He's a special little guy - and is very much loved by everyone. He'll be going to Ella's school next year with Parker. He's having a fantastic summer and his hair is unstoppable - oh... and just because I know he would want me to put this in here - He went all the way across on the monkey bars.
Ella is just a beast of a human. She does it all. She's very bright. She's very active and she's also very good at what she's active at (except swimming - not much on the swimming - but she has a great attitude about it so... it doesn't matter). She's tough to me - because we're so much alike. She remind me exactly of me - likes to be alone - clingy to people too when the time comes - insecure and fibs a little much - but overall she's my wonderful oldest pride and joy of the world. Everyday - I get excited to see her and see how she grows and develops.
Piper - the angel baby. Obviously we all know we call her pickles - why? Well - when she was born she was a little wrinkly and a little bald and she looked like Don Rickles and that became Donnie Pickles and then just pickles. She just turned 2 a month or so ago - and she knows her abcs - can count to 12 - and is very bright - and very very happy. She also loves to eat... like loves to eat... Her brother and sister protect her and adore her. She's our Angel baby and our last baby - and we have the highest hopes for her.
As for me - well I'm working. I'm making money. I'm trying to be more here for my kids than ever - I learned a valuable lesson this year - there is nothing - and I mean nothing that matters other than family. No job. No career. No test. No project. No game. No night out. There is nothing - that matters more than the ones you love.
