Hackin and Crackin
I so forgot how much fun this was. Man today I got this cool doc on how to crack VB programs by rewriting the registry files. All of this I knew existed but how to do it is even better. I am so drawn to hacking and I have no reason why. I'm definately not smart enough to do anything amazing with it. But I have this great gorunfloor vocab whihc affords me to open doors and step inside to see if the music is cool...you know what I mean there? But, I remember when I got my first computer I went out and found all these hacking sites. That was like the thing that interested me the most. Just this weird aura of guys sitting in dark rooms with multiple monitors, smoking cigarettes, listening to techno music on huge headphones, and staring blankly into the screen until something pops in their head. This love came from nowhere other than my own fascination with rogue law breakers who are still way too smart to be caught.
I think everyone I know who has a computer is some sort of a hacker, especially the web cats who work on the web and develop some stuff from time to time. I mean we all use short cuts and find ways around problems by essentially "hacking" into boxes and theories. Like I remember NIMDA and how ravaged the company I worked for was from it, and how Mike and I had to figure it out without anyone's help. That was sort of like hacking. Figuring out answers to problems that you didn't know existed and then sharing the info with others. ooohh hacking repositories....
Oh wait this so has something to do with my education development plans....hacking, sharing info, resources...
