Hornby New Book
Nick Hornby, yea I know I get him confused at first glance with Brice Hornsby as well and then usually skip over his name and onto the next blurb in the feed, but Nick Hornby has a new book coming out. It doesn't sound all that enticing but after reading the other 3, and coincidentally watching the movies (2) of the same titles, About a Boy and High Fidelity, and since I know you have seen them as well, an update was in order.
The new book doesn't sound like anything earth shattering. Apparently it's a book about reading when there is other stuff to do. It sounds to me much like the book
Songbook, in where he does an examination of 31 songs or so that he loves. Here it looks like he talks about books that he's read or a collection of articles about books, or even the weight brought on you when faced with books vs. Seinfeld on TV. All that sounds cool, but I doubt I'll be picking it up. More than likely I'll be using it as a benchmark again to download, whoops I mean buy new books and read them. First book I actually want to get in the new year is
You can find the Hornby book and a slight description here.
It's called the Pollysyllabic Spree - I don't think I like that title too much, but what do I know.
