Football is back after a month hiatus from the World Cup. And City is whom I support. With the advent of my new apartment, subsequent new big screen and soccer package, I am fookin pumped - I just hope my wonderful girlfriend finds it in her heart to let me watch the footie.
Let's Go CITTTTTTTYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
Some sing alongs for the lads - -
I'm dreaming of a blue Wembley Just like the ones I used to know When the blue flags flying And the Scousers dying To see City win the Cup
This is in reference to their home field of Wembley and their colors are blue and fuckin scousers would probably be United...
Ark now here The City sing United run away And we will fight forever more Because of derby day
We are City Super City We are City from Maine Road Ohhhh City City The only football team to come from Manchester
Another slight to United. City and United play every Derby Day and the streets are litterd with blue and red. City also play at Maine Road - one of the more famous football stadiums in England and site of the 1996 film "There and Then" covering Oasis' massive gig.
We don't win at home We don't win away We lost last week and we lost to-day But we don't give a f*ck Cause we are all pissed up M.C.F.C. OK!
This is usually more like it as City is a shite team. but they do have Captain America Claudio Reyna...and Joey Barton and the Gus the Greek. They also have a couple more of my favorites in Distin, the French center back that is just filthy from outside the 18, and Danny Mills who I thought played an amazing 2002 world cup and rarely ever gets beat on the left side.
The sh*tty man united went to Rome to see the Pope, The sh*tty man united went to Rome to see the Pope, The sh*tty man united went to Rome to see the Pope, And this is what he said, F*ck Off, Who the f*ck are man united, Who the f*ck are man united, Who the f*ck are man united, When the Blues go marching on, on, on.
This is the famous song that you hear at most football games involving United. Other clubs have adopted this chant and also used it for England as well. It is sung to "When the Saints go Marching in"
This was the best highlight from last year - I actually saw this game with Jas and some other people at Slainte in Fells.
Here is some video of the "Greek" Samaras - He is our scoring hope other than Vassell..
