Ken Lay Dies *we think...
Not to disrespect the dead or anything but when you read this title:
Enron ex-chief Kenneth Lay dies Kenneth Lay, the former Enron chief executive and chairman convicted on fraud and conspiracy charges, has died.
...And then realize that he was being sentenced in 1 month.
He had posted a $5m bond to avoid custody until September when he would have been sentenced - to up to 45 years behind bars.
Do you not get the feeling that ole' Kenny Boy is sitting on a beach somewhere whilst a hollywod make-up artist puts the finishing touches on his "closed casket" or even better "cremated" remains?
Actually, you know what... I don't feel bad about thinking that or possibly cursing the dead. That guy was pure evil. Just pure and plain evil boiled down into a crusted form.
Send me a post card K-Dog.
For more on Kenny Lay check out his
video biography. I found this film to be amazing. Wait until you see how they just "made up" their own accounting and how they laughed on the phone about old and poor people in california not being able to afford electricity.
I'll leave you with a Gem Enron quote:
Jeff Skilling: [comparing California to the Titanic] At least when the Titanic went down, the lights were on.
