There is no doubt
...That every cliche is becoming more and more true.
Ella will be 7 in a little over a month. And the hand holding and talk of "Dad" instead of Daddy has already begun.
For their maturation and success you have to let them grow but the amount of love that a child can have is so immense that I can't explain how important it is that I realize this now.
The hugs.
The tears..
The kisses.
The laughs.
The fun.
You can already tell that it will go away one day. You can already tell that the bond goes down - and ya know... that's nature but - it's also very very sad to my heart.
Life DOES go by too fast. Life is great. Children are wonderful things that you just want to become your best friend - that you just want to hold and protect and love forever. Thinking about coming home today and having you all run to me and give me a hug and a kiss is worth 50 lifetimes. It's worth everything in the grand scheme of things. I could care less about cars or houses or stuff... the cliche's are all true - the love of your children and the flamed out light that coexists with it is the most precious, painful, and priceless thing in this life. And I'm so glad I get to experience it.
